In a nice gesture the people of Alwal visited the local police officials in large numbers on 23 June 2011 to bid farewell to the outgoing S.H.O Mr. K.S.Rao and welcomed the new in-charge Mr.Pushpan Kumar .  Local political leaders from various parties have jointly appreciated the efforts put forward by the police officials during the last few years, despite turbulent times.
